Recognised for their culinary ventures, the Hairy Bikers are back with a new special series. For the first time ever, they’re focus is not on food, but industrial heritage in The Hairy Bikers' Restoration Road Trip.
To capture the action, ONSIGHT’s camera department provided Canon EOS C300s over a number of weeks, using the EF Mount zoom lenses. The 3 x 60 episodes are produced by Arrow Media for the BBC.
Episode 1: The Bikers visit a Derbyshire coal mine and celebrate 150 years of the London Underground.
Episode 2: Dave and Si help to rebuild an early traction engine and restore a rare barge.
Episode 3: The Bikers work on the biggest steam train restoration in Britain, 'The Night Owl'.
See the duo drive trains, rivet wheels, go down pit and ultimately, celebrate the skills and passions from generations.
The Hairy Bikers: Restoration Road Trip continues on BBC2 this Sunday at 9PM. You can catch up here on BBC iPlayer.
